Spy Trap is a British television drama programme created by Robert Barr for BBC One. A team of spies at espionage agency 'The Department' are responsible for protecting national security. Reporting to the Department of Defense, no-nonsense Commander Paul Ryan uses intel discovered by his agents, to question suspects.

Matveev, a former illegal GRU agent in the U.S., and his wife arrive at a Turkish ski resort posing as ordinary tourists. There, they are supposed to meet with one of the Russian sleeper agents. But the CIA sets up a provocation against Matveev.

The footage shows explosions, armed extremists, and an unmarked helicopter, becoming key evidence. Realizing this, the enemies decide to eliminate the unwanted witness.
